IKEA Festival With Kentaro Okawara



IKEA Festival rolled into town and we put on a livestream with one of my favourite local artists, Kentaro Okawara. He showed us his studio, talked about his collection and how he stores things, did a Q&A, and some live painting. But with a different kind of blank canvas, the iconic IKEA KALLAX shelf.


 

4 KALLAXes, each with a different theme to display a different aspect of his collection, were raffled off to some very, very lucky people. Eugh. You ever made something that you like so much, that you resent the actual winners of your competition? Anyway, there he is with his grandma.
