Air Ikebana
The Japanese art of flower arrangment, ikebana, aims to communicate the essence of a flower or object, making the invisible, visible. With the Air Max 1, Tinker Hatfield also made the invisible, visible, with its Air bubble. Nice parallel there, right?
We created six ikebana creations inspired by and inside of different iconic Nikes to celebrate Air Max Day, with the help of flower artist, Hanadorobou. Because every birthday needs flowers. It got picked up by a handful of sneaker blogs which was nice.
